Transferring Mastercam Software or Standalone License

Transferring Mastercam software licenses can be tricky, this guide will help you through the process for standalone and network licenses.

Transferring Mastercam Network License

If your company uses Mastercam and requires you to move a Mastercam network software license, this section will guide you through that process.

Important:  If you are unable to deactivate your license because of hardware failure or an unknown PC location, please contact us at support.mastercam@trimech.com for further assistance.

Before you start this process, please make sure you have the license number and activation code for Mastercam (see the example below). You will need this information to deactivate the license on the old license server and activate it on the new license server. If you are not able to find that information, please email support.mastercam@trimech.com

Example:

License number: W000000

Activation Code: 0000-0000-0000-0000-0000-0000-0000-0000

  • First please ensure that all users have exited Mastercam and saved their work. The license will be temporarily unavailable until it is activated on the new server.
